A hands-on workshop/masterclass combining clay and performance to explore how form, gesture, and material interact.

This one-day intensive invites participants to investigate the relationship between the body and the material of clay. Through a series of dynamic, tactile exercises, the workshop offers an immersive experience designed to expand each artist’s creative language and approach.

Participants will explore unconventional techniques that bridge drawing, performance, and documentation—each anchored in clay’s diverse forms and transformative states.

The workshop is facilitated by experienced hosts: performance artist Jimmy Paez and artist/curator  Dr. Fiona Fell, whose practices intersect movement, material, and experimental form.

Materials provided:

•  One bag of clay for each participant. 

• Tools 

• Clay in different states of reconstitution.

• Light refreshments.

What you will need to bring:

•  Comfortable clothing you can move in easily and clothing you don´t mind getting dirty. However, (clay washes out)

• 1-2 square metres of fabric. Cotton sheets OR canvas.
